  • Welcome to the Wisconsin Triathlon Team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, one of the largest club sports on campus.
  • The University of Wisconsin-Madison tied for 10th among public institutions in rankings in U.S. News & World Report's 2013 edition of "Best Colleges".
  • Every year in September since 2002 Madison has hosted Ironman Wisconsin, which takes place right here on campus.
  • Any UW-Madison student, faculty, or staff member is allowed to be on the team. All fitness levels are welcome!
  • We love to race. Racing isn't required to be on the team, but it's a lot of fun!
  • We were selected as the 2012-2013 Club Sport of the Year!
  • The only city in North America to be built on an isthmus makes Madison, WI one of the top triathlon towns in the country! Triathlete Magazine has ranked Madison a top 10 place for triathletes to live. It has also been voted #1 most bicycle friendly town, #1 college sports town, and the #1 most educated city in the country. In 2012, Kingliner ranked Madison the #1 best city in the USA to live for young adults.
  • Our number one goal as a team is to have fun while getting better… so be ready for a good time!!!
  • Worried about not being able to swim? We've got you covered - beginners are welcome! We have weekly workouts where you can get some advice on your swimming technique. We also occasionally offer "stroke technique" clinics where an educated coach can help you out.

Spring 2014 Practice Schedule

Our spring practices are up and rolling!  See the Workout Schedule page for additional information.  All practices are optional and you may attend however many you like!  We strongly recommend that you take at least one recovery day per week.  If you are a team member who would like help figuring out the best training schedule for you, feel fee to contact our coach.

Monday- Swim @ 8:30 PM, Nat
Tuesday- Spin/Trainer @ 6:30 PM, Nat. racquetball rooms 5 & 6
Wednesday- Swim at 8:30 PM, Nat
Thursday- Track @ 6:30 PM, Shell
Friday- Dryland @ 3:30-5 PM, Nat Multipurpose room
Saturday- Swim @ 5 PM, SERF (open swim)
