Triathlete Magazine has ranked Madison a top 10 place for triathletes to live. • Worried about not being able to swim? We've got you covered - beginners are welcome! We have weekly workouts where you can get some advice on your swimming technique. We also occasionally offer "stroke technique" clinics where an educated coach can help you out.
  • USAT Collegiate Nationals is the biggest race for collegiate triathletes and is held each year in April. This year it was in Tempe, AZ and as a team we placed 13th in the nation.
  • Our number one goal as a team is to have fun while getting better… so be ready for a good time!!!
  • Each year the team goes on a Spring Break training trip! This year we went to Clemson, SC!
  • We love to race. Racing isn't required to be on the team, but it's a lot of fun!
  • The University of Wisconsin-Madison tied for 10th among public institutions in rankings in U.S. News & World Report's 2013 edition of "Best Colleges".

Summer Time!

Summer Practices

For those of you who will be hanging out in lovely Madison over the summer we will be having three "official" practices a week:

Tuesday Bike at 6:00 PM Meeting at the Arb Bridge

Thursday Run at 6:00 PM Meeting at the Arb Bridge

Friday Open Water Swim at 4:00PM Meeting at the Crew Boathouse on North Shore drive in Monona Bay

Not only are group workouts awesome because you get to see everyone else's smiling faces, they're the best way to push yourself to do those interval workouts no one really wants to finish.

New Dues Paying Facebook Group
I would also encourage everyone to use the new Wisconsin Triathlon Team Facebook group that Ben (Webmaster) has put together to post your workouts if you want some company. He'll be adding people to the group in the coming week, request to join at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1424480127823837/.
We're adding the group so that folks other than the officers can post and discuss workouts/rides/etc..... Please, please, please use it at. The Facebook page will remain the best place to find official announcements and the like.
